Fire Retardant Shade Cloth – Black 1.83 x 50m
Fire-retardant shade cloth is a specially designed fabric, which provides shade and ventilation while also reducing the risk of fire ignition and spread. Unlike standard shade cloth, it is either manufactured from inherently flame-resistant materials or treated with fire-retardant chemicals that help the fabric resist catching fire when exposed to heat, sparks, or open flames. When it does encounter a flame source, the material is designed to self-extinguish or burn much more slowly, limiting how quickly a fire can grow or travel across the surface. At the same time, it still performs like regular shade cloth by filtering sunlight to reduce heat and UV exposure, and allowing air to circulate to prevent heat build-up underneath. This combination of shade, airflow, and enhanced fire safety makes it particularly valuable in environments where both sun protection and fire risk need to be managed, such as construction sites, outdoor events, agricultural settings, and areas prone to bushfires.
