Firstly, as an insect mesh, our white 8m bee/hail net effectively excludes insects down to the size of bees. For instance, when you use it to cover mandarin trees prior to blossom, it prevents bees from pollinating the flowers. Consequently, this interruption in pollination enables growers to produce a commercially desirable seedless fruit variety. In this way, the net supports more controlled crop outcomes.
Secondly, as a hail net, you can also use it as a cost-effective, temporary cover to protect fruit crops from small hail, thereby preventing damage to both fruit and trees. In particular, for commercial applications, you can attach the net to an overhead wire using our cable sleeves or radial net clips; then, you can drop it down prior to an approaching hail event or alternatively during a known hail season. Once the risk has passed, you can easily tie the net back up to the wire, thus keeping it out of the way for the remainder of the year. Overall, this flexible system allows for both protection and convenience throughout changing conditions.
